And then I did an hour of "Cardio Dance Blast".

Husband grew up a practicing Italian. He is a food-must-be-present-at-every-event, we-say-what-we-feel, family-is-the-most-important-thing Italian. And I like that about him, because with that Italian heritage comes a passion for food that has opened up a whole new world for me. A world of manicotti and eggplant parmesan and ricotta cheese and stuffed peppers. And I am happy in that world.

So when husband purchased a deal on Groupon for a homemade pasta shop in Greenwich Village, I was all for it. We left with 12 pounds of food (including homemade sauces), and cooked up some linguine last night with vegetables found at the local farmer's market. If you plan to visit the city and have a hankering for some amazing Italian food (and let's face it, who doesn't?), Raffetto's is your place. And pick up a box of the pumpkin ravioli that husband objected to. For me.

  2. YUM! I LOVE pesto. I go nuts over it. Fresh pasta is also heavenly. I'm almost glad I'm far, far away from this place because I would add a whole lot of poundage if I could shop there often!

  3. I love Italian food, it is some seriously delicious stuff.

  4. i am a little bit jealous - that sounds so yummy!

  5. i would do some very drastic things for some tasty italian food right about now. pumpkin ravioli? mmmm. but really, pesto (that wouldn't try to kill me, as fresh greens are a no-go), thick, garlicky marinara sauce, garlic bread, stuffed shells with italian sausage sauce... ::dies of envy::

i will console myself in the knowledge that at least we have tasty indian food.

  6. everything sounds so good! yum.

  7. food-must-be-present-at-every-event, we-say-what-we-feel, family-is-the-most-important-thing Italian. HAHAHAH! This is me and my family too! I love it :)
