Our Weekend: Old Friends and Cinnamon Buns

We didn't have a lot on our agenda this weekend aside from making time for old friends, exploring more of our city and dog watching in the park (our coolness has reached an all-time high).

Not going to lie - our move to the city has made us a bit lonely. Not that we don't enjoy spending every minute together on Saturdays and Sundays. We do. But after living within walking distance from so many of my friends for the last four years, the lack of female companionship in the city was taking a toll on my psyche. I was beginning to enjoy watching sports, people! Sports! And I wore sneakers while running errands! And (gasp!) I was this close to ordering a steak at dinner! Well, not really. But I clearly needed some female influence before I did something drastic. Like eating beef. Voluntarily.

So on Saturday while Blake was out playing basketball with a high school friend, I met up with a girlfriend for coffee in Bryant Park. And then my grandparents (who are also my friends. they're cooler than me.) took us out to dinner on Saturday night. It was just lovely. I'm feeling more like myself already.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. The weather here was just perfect.

(And other friends: I miss you. Come visit. Before I make the Boston/Philly/Florida/Ohio/Montana road trip, myself.)
