Another November from our one-bedroom in Hell's Kitchen.

We're at the start of one more November in our little one-bedroom apartment. It truly is the best time of the year in New York. That's saying a lot, because many of you know how I feel about the Christmas season.

This is the second and, quite possibly, our last November in this home. A month of watching the trees in our community garden make their final steps in becoming brilliantly orange and yellow before carpeting the ground. A month of jacket-wearing, tea-making and apple cinnamon candle-burning. It's the initial reminder that another year is coming to a close, and we are older and (hopefully) wiser for it. This is the month of thanksgiving, and we have so much to be thankful for.

On another note, I've been listening to these awesome people pretty much nonstop lately. Someone teach me how to play a mountain dulcimer so that I can start my own folk band?
