Opening Night.

We had the privilege of being at the opening night of Annie yesterday, as one of my step second-cousins (that's real, right?) is an understudy for Grace. Annie was my first Broadway experience back when I was 6, but this may have been the first time I actually saw the performance because I forgot my glasses the first time. However, I do recall taking a bunch of photos with my sister that day (wearing matching dresses, obviously), and it's probably to the benefit of posterity that I forgot my glasses. Proof. As if I needed more evidence that I was an out-of-towner.

And holy cow are those kids talented. Nothing says "you can't sing worth a darn" like an 11 year old who can belt "Maybe" while tap dancing and running up stairs.

Hooray for Desi and a big thank you to my grandparents for tickets!
