Summer barbecue.

Last Saturday night we spent some time with my family out on the back deck of my parents' Connecticut home, watching the sun go down on a beautiful day while enjoying food off of the grill, vegetables from my brother's garden and wine that my dad is making in the basement.

"Toto," I said to Gus, who is becoming increasingly more confused about his name, "we're not in Manhattan anymore." (but the whole family will be returning on Sunday! hooray! that teeny apartment was starting to feel way too uncramped)

Today we're headed up to Boston for the wedding of two of our dearest friends, Heather and Brian!

(for Saturday nights, in any form)
(for cool water on warm summer days)
(for the sounds of familiar voices in familiar places)
