Ferdinand, the tree.

Ferdie isn't our first tree. There was one before him - a little awkward thing with big gaps between the plastic pine needles and a missing leg that necessitated wall support through the month of December. We loved that little tree so, but when I saw Ferdinand (slightly less awkward and gap-afflicted) on sale for the low, low price of $13, I knew he was meant to be.

We decorated him last night. Covered him in lights and garland and ornaments commemorating past Christmases. If he's lucky, he may even see a few strings of popcorn and cranberries.

Also, I must address the fake fireplace, which comes with classical music accompaniment. I would like to kiss whoever thought of this.
^^Gus and his brother (Li'l Sebastian) chose not to partake in the Christmas festivities. It's far too physically taxing.^^
