I've been commuting from South Norwalk into the city for six weeks now. I'd be lying if I said it hasn't had its rough moments - like the morning when I had to take four different trains or the night when I was trekking back with a very heavy suitcase in the pouring rain (ask me how much that Uber ride cost me. or don't. it actually hurts to talk about). But here we are, and we're doing it. I know that there are other couples and families who are able to see each other far less - heroes, all of them! The things we'll do to be able to spend an hour or two with the people we love.
And I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see Blake and Gus pull up to the train station in the evenings. I get a big, dopey grin on my face when I see that bulldog face resting on the open car window. What luck that these two are mine.
