On Tuesday night, we took our annual trip to the DC area, where we're spending the holiday at my grandparents' home. We have so much to be grateful for, this year and always. I'm especially thankful for our families, for how the concept of family has evolved, for this little one who will be joining us in five and a half months.
And if you're looking for some way to give back this season, a few ideas:
*Hope for New York: our church's support for non-profit affiliates serving the poor and marginalized in NYC.
*She's the First: an organization sponsoring girls' education in low-income countries, giving them the chance to become the first in their families to graduate from high school.
*Children's Rescue Mission: an interdenominational organization providing humanitarian relief, education and empowerment to the people in the Teupasenti region of southeastern Honduras.
Happy Thanksgiving, all! Hope you're spending the day with loved ones, wherever you are.
