The fourth.

we woke with the sun and headed down to the beach. slathered sunscreen, built sandcastles, waded into frigid waters. we saw bits of the parade: "siren cars" and "big trucks". made it home for naps, a picnic, a flag cake.

and we're so proud to be part of this great experiment, this beautiful country in all of its diversity and influence. what a privilege to be free - thank you, thank you, to those who have sacrificed in the name of this privilege.
